Economic relations
The economic section of the Islamic Republic of Iran's embassy in Bern has focused on the development of economic, commercial and financial relations between economic activists in the private sector of the two countries in line with the general policies set by the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In this regard, the embassy's efforts and pursuit of bilateral agreements between the two countries in various economic fields, which paved the way for bilateral cooperation, and efforts to attract Swiss partnerships in the country's plans and projects in the field of industry, Agriculture and services, as well as areas such as environmental protection, development cooperation, and so on.
Economic relations between Iran and Swiss Confederation
Based on statistics released by the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the volume of economic relations between the two countries in 2017 is about 590 million dollars, of which $ 570 million is imported from Switzerland and nearly $ 23 million worth of goods from Iran to Switzerland. Below is a list of exports to Switzerland and imports from Switzerland during the years 2011 to 2017. As it has been seen, during these years and even years before, the trade balance has always been to the benefit of Switzerland.

Cereals, Meal, Raw Oil, Soybeans, Industrial Machinery, Types of Industries, Printing Materials and Equipment, Industrial Filters, Steel Plates, Shams, Steel Round Bars, Refined and Uncooked Sugar, Cigarettes, Chemicals, Aluminum Sheets, Power Plant Equipment, Turbine, watch, medical raw materials, all kinds of medicines and industrial pumps.
